2022 Academic Vacation Writing Programs

During this holiday period, Academia offers primary school students the opportunity to develop their expressiveness through writing.

Students can choose from a range of workshops – from modules that focus on illustrating elements of their daily lives, to courses that take them on a journey to discover and imagine tangible and relatable characters. Each workshop explores a different theme and students will have produced a portfolio of well-crafted stories by the end of the course.

Students can expect a fun, engaging, and meaningful experience. They will gain both confidence in their craft and the ability to write more persuasive writing.

2022 Lower Primary Holiday Program Schedule

everyday heroes

During the workshop, students will break down the components of a good story into small activities based on sensory stimuli, allowing young writers to internalize and phenomenologically translate these ideas on paper. These include grammar and vocabulary boosters, kinesthetic character development, and channeling emotions into writing. Students will leave with a new theoretical framework in the form of a storyboard.
