Fun Fridays writing workshop planned through New River CTC

(LOOTPRESS) — If you love to write or think you might like to write, join author Belinda Anderson for “Fun Fridays,” a writing workshop offered by New River Community and Technical College.

“It’s a fun hour meant to inject energy into new and ongoing projects,” Anderson explained.

From October 7, 2022“Fun Fridays: Creative Writing as Play” will meet for three weeks on Fridays at 10 o’clockStudents can attend the course either through an Internet conference call connection or by telephone (broadband Internet is not required). Class meetings will include lectures, time for questions and sharing from attendees, and group email follow-up if needed.

Anderson has previously offered Fun Fridays writing workshops at New River CTC, and returning students will be able to take advantage of the brand new material. Anderson is the author of four books and an experienced teacher. During the course, she will introduce a variety of writing concepts, followed by playful prompts, to stimulate both new and practicing writers of fiction and non-fiction.

Class alumna Cindy Martin, a retired teacher and writer living in North Carolina, participated in the first “Fun Fridays” workshop. Martin described the class saying, “Belinda Anderson’s wit, wisdom and writing expertise make Fun Fridays a great writing opportunity for budding authors to hone their skills, while challenging the author. seasoned to explore new angles. I found Fun Fridays magical and looked forward to each session.

Tuition for the class is $75 and the registration deadline is September 23. Participants will be emailed the conference call number and access codes after registering for the course.
